のチャットやで、「なければ、明日までにをいただけますか」と書かれていることがあります。このは、の都合やに配慮しながら頼むの言いです。だからといって、依頼そのものがなくなったり、返事をしなくてよくなったりするわけではありません。
In a work chat or email, you may read, 'If it is not inconvenient for you, could you look at the materials by tomorrow?' This expression is used when making a request while showing consideration for the other person's circumstances. It does not mean that the request disappears or that you need not reply.
たとえば、すでにを抱えていて明日までにはなら、「明日午前はのですが、午後三時までであればできます」のように、できるを返せます。単に「できません」と終えるより、がのをしやすくなります。、内容がに、であるなど、引き受けにくい理由があるは、無理にをく説明するはありません。
For example, if you already have another deadline and cannot do it by tomorrow, you can reply, 'Tomorrow morning is difficult, but I can check it by 3 p.m.' Giving a time when you can do it makes the other person's next decision easier than ending with only, 'I cannot.' On the other hand, if the content involves personal information or is outside your responsibility, you do not have to explain every detail of why it is difficult to accept.
When you see this phrase, do not decide that something is not urgent only because the wording is gentle. Read the deadline, the work needed, and whether someone else can do it. If you are unsure whether to reply, briefly state either whether you can accept or when you can do it. When declining, it is clearer to state your situation and the next option in ordinary words than to mirror the phrase and say, 'There is an inconvenience this time.'
